David Luiz has revealed the reason he left the club because of different goals.
The 34-year-old, who joined the Gunners in 2019. He has been a key player in the team’s two seasons at the Emirates Stadium and helped them win the F. A Cup in the first year joining the team
However, he parted ways with the club at the end of the 2020/21 season, with Luiz revealing the reason he left the club because Mikel Arteta’s long-term projects do not match.
“We both decided to part ways,” Luiz told the Daily Mail. “I’ve been at the team for two years and aiming to win something. Which I did (winning the FA Cup and the Community Shield).”
“Right now I think the club has a different project in the long run. They have different ideas. My idea is to win, win and win as quickly as possible.”
