‘Being yourself is the only way how to stand out in today’s crowded market. So what’s YOUR story?’ ~ Magnetic Silvia … a quote which I posted earlier in the week on Instagram.
Celebrating your uniqueness, rather than trying to copy what everyone else is doing is a surefire way of standing out from the crowd. What is it that you offer that no-one else provides? What’s your point of difference, your unique selling point?
Of all the florists that a wedding couple can choose from, why should they select you? If there are several other florist shops in your locality, why would someone come to buy a gift bouquet from you, rather than one of the neighbouring businesses? As a flower school, how do you differentiate yourself from other places of study?
Now, I definitely don’t have all the answers! Only you know what makes you unique. Perhaps spend some time today mulling it over. And once you’re happy with what you’d like to be known for, share it on social media.
On to this week’s round-up of floristry inspiration and news…
Monday morning saw me up bright and early to head to New Covent Garden Flower Market in London. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. It never ceases to amaze me at how chirpy the traders are, considering what time they get up in the morning! They had me in stitches with their banter. What a great start to the week!
Other than that, I’ve been working in my office, editing photos, having Skype calls with clients, writing blog posts and my next report for the Flower Market website. I hope you’ve enjoyed this weekend’s Floristry Industry Insight and that you have a lovely, relaxing Sunday…
P.S. Just in case you missed it earlier in the week, here’s a link to Monday’s Flowerona blog post.
