Breath-taking wedding flowers in their thousands grace these wonderful woodland nuptials near Carmel in California. And the person behind their creation was Los Angeles based floral designer Eddie Zaratsian.
If you’re an avid Flowerona reader, you may remember that over five years ago, I featured an interview with Eddie here. How times flies!

Wednesday morning saw me heading to my favourite place in London…yes, you’ve guessed it! New Covent Garden Flower Market. And apart from that outing, this week I’ve been pretty much office based, working away. Although, I did have a lovely treat on Friday.
It’s one of my goals this year to get out more. Working on my own, as I know many of you do, can sometimes get a little lonely…don’t you find? So I took Friday morning off to go to personal stylist Anita Feron Clark‘s Spring/Summer 2019 Fashion Trends Workshop. And what an inspirational workshop it was!
What really resonated with me as having a parallel with the world of floristry was Anita emphasising how important it is to consider your personal style, when you’re deciding which clothes and accessories to buy. For example, romantic, dramatic, classic, etc. And when I’m training florists on how to use Instagram, I’m always stressing the importance of articulating your floristry style. Really hone in on what you’d like to be known for…whether that’s luxurious, elegant floral arrangements or quirky, edgy designs.
So, I hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s edition of my Floristry Industry Insight. And have a lovely restful Sunday…
P.S. Have you read my latest report for New Covent Garden Flower Market?
