With so many options available to us nowadays, more and more I’m appreciating the importance of curation…whether you’re choosing which flowers and foliage to buy at the flower market, which image to post next on Instagram or which outfit you’re going to wear that morning. And it’s the topic of a brilliant podcast, which I listened to this week.

Titled The Power of Curation, Holly Tucker interviews Tamara Lohan MBE, founder of Mr & Mrs Smith. I highly recommend having a listen. And many thanks to Clare at Opal & Co for the tip-off!

Now, on to this week’s ‘curation’ of floral inspiration from around the globe. Enjoy!

FLOWERONA’S WEEK

A week where I’ve been ensconced in my home office, working away. And one of the highlights was my second Instagram session with a wonderful client. I’m thrilled at the progress they’ve already made since our first meeting!

A bit of technical advice now, which has been a huge game-changer for me. And I hope it will help you too if you use wi-fi for your internet access at home or in your workplace. On the advice of a Virgin engineer, I bought a Netgear Powerline (affiliate link) this week. Our router is downstairs and my office is upstairs, which means that the signal isn’t as strong and is therefore slower upstairs.

I don’t quite understand how it works, but all that matters is that it’s doubled my internet speed and sometimes, it’s even three times as fast as it used to be. It’s such a huge transformation! Time is money…I only wished I’d known about it before.

So, I hope you’ve enjoyed this weekend’s Floristry Industry Insight. See you next Sunday, if not before…
